In this way, depending on how the vocals were mixed, one of the two channels should preferably sound like the vocals and the other will be the instrumentation. This method does not always work, it depends on how well mixed the vocals were in the original recording. For Karaoke type mixed songs, this method should work well with the default value set to 1. If this does not work well, try experimenting around with the value. The volume0 and volume1 levels default to 0.707 and 1.414, which should balance the channels assuming they separate well. If they don't you can always play with the values to get a better mix. Finally, setting the value to zero produces no effect in terms of separating the channels, however, the separate volume0 and volume1 will still affect the left/right mix. Because the extraction may not work so well, sometimes the channels will come out poorly mixed, with one of them 41% higher in volume than before the application of the script, so don't forget to use a limiter on the output - just in case.Center Channel Extractor Vst Download Mac
As a test audio file, I experimented in Fuel's 'Innocent', which worked out pretty well in separating the vocals from the instrumentals. It wasn't 100%, but it was good enough.
